Once the feast has been digested, the dishes put away, and thanks has been given for all the love and fortune that came your way, it's time to get down to the serious business of... shopping! 

Black Friday, the annual shopping event is here. An exciting time for shopping enthusiasts to take advantage of the best deals. But wait, this one isn't about the awesome shopping deals out there. We are making sure that while you're out and about burning some serious Thanksgiving feast calories in the stores, the rest of the family has wonderful options in terms of activities and events to keep them occupied (and off your hands!) Enjoy!

1. Snowflake Lane at The Bellevue Collection

When: November 24 through December 24  7:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Where: Bellevue, The Bellevue Collection, Between N.E. 8th St. & N.E. 4th St., Bellevue, Wa

Cost: Free

The Bellevue Collection has expanded and so has Snowflake Lane. You can experience all your favorite characters — with falling snow, beautiful lights, delightful holiday music — and better viewing along the extended parade route. Plus this year, Santa joins every night during the new parade to spread his cheer!

2. Santa's Grand Arrival Parade & Tree Lighting Event

When: November 24, 2017 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Where: Bellevue, Bellevue Way, 575 Bellevue Square, Bellevue, Wa

Cost: Free

Following the parade, Santa will light the 30-foot holiday tree at the Bellevue Place Wintergarden. Snap a photo with Santa and the Snowflake Lane characters, enjoy holiday music and snack on cookies and cocoa. This event is sure to put you and your family in the holiday spirit.

3. Historic Downtown Snohomish Holiday Window Display Contest

When: November 24 through November 26 (All Day)

Where: Historic Downtown Snohomish, WA 98290

Cost: Free

As you stroll around the downtown area doing your Black Friday shopping, you also get to be one of the judges for the holiday window display contest in Historic Downtown Snohomish this year. Ballots are available from participating merchants, cast your votes and get the chance to win a $100 debit card for that extra spending power!

4. Santa's Workshop Opens

When: November 24, 2017 10:00 AM

Santa’s Workshop opens Friday, November 24th at 10am at Country Village, featuring photos with Santa by Arthur & Associates. You’ll love the cozy atmosphere and quality photography done on the spot – NO reservations necessary. While you're visiting Santa, don’t forget to vote for your favorite whimsical gingerbread house – houses are on display in Santa's Workshop. Drop some change in the milk bottle next to your favorite house to decide who gets the coveted People’s Choice award. All funds go to benefit the Northshore Schools Foundation.

5. Evergreen Lights

Cost: Free

Visit Evergreen Church for one of Seattle's best Christmas light shows. 200,000 Christmas lights dancing to music creating a stunning light show for the entire family to enjoy. Go inside the viewing pavilion and enjoy the enlarged Train display, have a cookie and hot cocoa.  Take a stroll through the walking path lights or get a quick selfie at the Light Tunnel.

6. 27th Annual My Macy's Holiday Parade

When: November 24, 2017 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM

Where: Downtown Seattle, Dowtown Seattle , 7th Ave. & Pine St., Seattle , Wa

Cost: Free

We can’t think of a better way to welcome the holiday season than watching inflatable floats, marching bands, costumed characters, pro sports teams, community drill teams and, of course, Santa Claus travel through the streets of downtown Seattle. On the day after Thanksgiving, bundle up your crew and grab a curbside seat and a cup of hot cocoa for this annual parade. The parade will wind its way through the streets of Seattle to Macy’s doorstep. Psst! Once Santa arrives at Macy’s, he will dash over to his Seattle holiday post in Macy’s Santaland.

7. Westlake Center Tree Lighting

When: November 24, 2017 4:30 PM

Where: Downtown Seattle, Westlake Park , 400 Pine St., Seattle, Wa

Cost: Free

This year’s tree lighting celebration will once again take place the day after Thanksgiving, so get there early to stake out a spot, because the crowds will be full and festive. Music and fake snow are on the agenda and everything will kick off around 4:30 p.m. with the lighting of the Westlake Center holiday tree and Macy’s Star. Psst! We hear the big guy in red will be making an appearance, so get those cameras ready!

8. Macy's Star Lighting and Fireworks Show

Where: Downtown Seattle, Macy's - Downtown, 1601 Third Ave. , Seattle, Wa

Cost: Free

In conjunction with Westlake Center’s tree lighting celebration, see the famous 161-foot high, 3,600-bulb Macy’s Holiday Star light up the streets of downtown Seattle to welcome the holiday season. Psst…be sure to stick around for the fireworks show which will take place after the ceremony (weather permitting).
